Interesting question. My buddy actually has Mickey's bike as we speak. And it is indeed a Black Death. Pretty sick bike.

My neighbor and occasional riding buddy built an exact replica of that bike using (indeed) an FXR as the base. I have seen it many times in person and it is a sweet bike:

Took him 3 years to build, finding and making the parts as went along and watching parts of the movie over and over again to get it just right.

I've always thought that bike was one of the best looking movie bikes.

Great looking bike, how many miles at a time does he ride it ? With no rear suspension and virtually no seat it must a real back breaker.

He's missing the crucifix between the risers and a few other little things. Don't get me wrong, it's a freakin BEAUTIFUL bike but not an exact copy.
I have the original movie poster framed in my man cave and often spend my time sitting down there staring at my bike and the poster.
The opening scene in the movie where he rolls it out, turns on the ignition, turns on the Pingel petcock, and hits the start button gives me cold chills to this day. That S&S carb cover rattling around reminds me of the days when HDs vibrated LOL!
