I too was shocked at the gap between the fender and tire. I bought my Heartland EZ200 kit from Drew and it did bolt right up. No rubbing, offset or drilling issues at all. I contacted Drew AND Heartland and voiced my displeasure at what I considered at the time to be somewhat deceptive advertising. I know that they put that "Bike Lowered 2" disclaimer in tiny writing on the site, but I still think they should be a lot more open about the fact that in order to achieve the look that many of us want from a chopped fender, lowering the rear will be absolutely necessary.

I will say that Drew and Shawn at Dr. VTwin were great to work with and the boys at Heartland were equally nice. 'Course, that didn't really help with the Enduro-style gap I had, but it was nice to deal with cool folks.

Oh, and Eagle737, welcome and IT'S CALLED A PM! Never put your phone # in a post.

I'm getting ready to install the Heartland EZ 200 on my Deuce. The fender is off getting painted right now. Any recent lessons learned on these kits?

I just installed my heartland 200 kit on my blackline. More hassle than I would expect for the price I'm paying. I had the same wheel issue where my rotor rubs on the brake caliper bracket, after talking with heartland they said this problem has never happened to them. So I literally just sent out the wheel back. If I had to do it over again... I wouldn't. But I'm committed at this point I'm sure I'm just pissed and hopefully the issue gets resolved and I'll be happy.

Nice Deuce. Hopefully mine will be almost the same when I figure out what rear rim I must use to fit a 200/55x18 tire. Any suggestions? What rim have you used?

I used the wheel off of a Softail Custom. It's similar to the stock Deuce and is semi-solid with just some slats in it. I wanted to keep the same type of look for the rear with filling it out a little bit more.
