no just remove the 2 - 1/4 in bolts (use a 12 pt. 1/4 in socket) to remove them and the pads should be able to drop down. You'll have to loosen the bleed plug to push the pistons back in before replacing the new pads. Then add brake fluid to the resevour and bleed any air out of the brake line. Hope this helps
Anyone willing to scan a few pages from the maintence/service manual on how to change the rear brake pads? I own a 05 deuce and I am needing to change the rear and front pads as well.
