*Need old school exhaust ideas*
Alright guys, just posted new pics of the Bones and got a great response. But a few people said the same thing i was thinking... When i got the bike it already had the intake and exhaust on it so i havent messed with it, yet. Cant find any exhaust that i am completely sold on, the direction im trying to go is modern day performance with the old school feel. Need some exhaust ideas that will work for 2 up riding and not scrape since she is dropped 2", HELP!

Here's what I'd use. This pipe would look killer on your ride. 2:1 for performance with old school look and no draging concerns.

Old school? What's that mean to you? Old school as in more-or-less stock, or more-or-less custom?
Old school stock type - 2-into-1 headpipes with muffler of your choice, and some of the old stock mufflers had the fishtail tip, and trumpets were popular, too. I run Paughco head pipes and a 30" straight fishtail on my Evo Sloptail.
Old school not-stock - You don't like upsweeps, and they gotta have fishtails or trumpets to look OK. Another look would be the shotguns, but I think that was similar to the stockers on your X-Bones. Simple drag pipes are about as old school common as you can get.
What ain't old school is any type of true duals that exit on both sides. Nobody ran the left side after they started making them as the stock pipes; if you kept the stock head pipes you chunked the ugly fat mufflers, blocked the crossover pipe, cut/ground out the crossover restrictor, and ran a shorty muffler.

Hey poco, man you have my brain spinning 7 different ways right now. I never really thought about the fact that old school means something different to everyone. I like the upswepts just not the ones that have the fishtails on them. I do the these, but not sure about where to start looking for them. Thanks for making me think a little, thats what i was hoping for. Also like the RSD but like you said that is more modern day old school (if that makes any since). thanks guys
