Can't take credit for the fender...To this day I still have the urge to use hand signals...motioned with my hand for a left turn tonight in fact...no turn signals on it.

Most chopper guys will tell you the word 'Softail' or 'slobtail' is a 'no' 'no', they ride rigids, most guys here (including myself) with FXST(C/B), CrossBones/ Nighsters/Sportsters XL,will do a few things 'Chopperish'.. how far you go up to you.

ON the extreme side, Fab Kevin in 'the horse' has a great article on making a rigid out of a softail frame, losing 60Pounds in the process and still maintining the HD title.

On the expensive side, RSD kits are a killer.

And you suit yourself .. this is my bike, I spent maybe 3K on the bars/seats/black coating wheels/ and the rest of the mods I did myself (wrapping pipes, air filter, etc).

Regards

A.

Here's what I did with my NT about 5yrs ago.

Here's one of the same bike last year.

Changed it up again earlier this year but my camera crapped out on me. Basically a mix between the two with bmx bars & pedals running dyna mid controls. I'll try and get some new shots up soon.

Here is a pic of a Chopper I built in 2005. Rigid, but it may give You some ideas to apply on a softail.
