Why try it? Just find some good slipons that you like. You start drilling holes, you're gonna lose back pressure and in the end...you'll end up with new pipes anyway. Just cut to the chase and get the pipes with the sound you're looking for now.
I punched mine out with a screwdriver and 1" pipe but JBG is right. I lost some back pressure and just ended up buying V&H pipes a few weeks later. It was definitely louder though!
can i drill out stock baffles on my 2010 fatboy lo
I have some Screaming Eagle slip ons you can have for 100 bucks plus shipping. They're the slash cut. I agree with the others don't screw up your stock mufflers.
Just read your posting again, see you have a "LO". These are chrome, might not look just right.
You can always punch them out and put a set of "Big City Thunder" baffles. I recommend saving your stock pipes in case of future EPA issues and buying a set of SE or similar slipons.
