Default MPG for Heritage Classic

Was wondering what the other Heritage Classic owners are getting for MPG. I have an '05 carburetor model and I get around 170 miles on a tank of gas. Think that equates to about 34 MPG. Sound about right?

Hey Brian whats up? Don't know what difference there should be between carb / FI but I get 42 to 45 in combined riding, a couple weeks ago on a 600 mile trip my best tank was 51. Was pretty happy with it. It has been tuned and running great with the race tuner.

Hmmm. Not sure about the differences between MPG for EFI and carb'd, but your MPG is GREAT! Wonder if I need to Dyno?

2003 Heritage classic, I let it run 200 miles on full tank and it takes about 4.2 G at that point to fill up again. So about 46 to 48 MPG

I get consistent 41-43mpg combined riding.
If I keep it at 55 or below all the time, I can get 50+ out of a tank.

Keep tires aired up, ride way below 80mph, ride downhill, lose weight if possible?

Tires aired....check. Ride below 80....check. Ride downhill.....not too many hills here in middle GA. Loose weight.....trying. I normally ride around 60-65. Haven't needed to ride on interstates (70mph limit). Only thing I can think of is getting it on a Dyno and see what the mechs can come up with. How much $ will that cost?
