More fouled plugs Help!
So my saga with my bad boy continues. Still not running right. Today i changed the primary gasket, put synthetic in, only (5k miles), also replaced the transmission fluid, both with redline. So of course when i finish that, the bike is not running well. I bought the bike, a 97 bad boy last october and re-built it myself over the winter, sent it to the indy to get the carb tuned and thats when all the trouble started.
I re-built most of the carb about a month ago, rejetted etc as it was running lean and replaced all the gaskets as gas was leaking and nothing good with it.
Now no leaks, but the spark plugs are all black again for the 2nd time , my mixture screws seems to be an issue as well. I just cant find the sweet spot that lasts.
the only part i did not change was the float needle and when i put the carb back on the bike from working on it, it dumped quite a bit of fuel thru the run off hose. Plugs are pretty black about a quarter inch covered pretty well, black chalky substance. Help!

If you're having a rich condition and you can't get the idle circuit to clean up, it usually means that excessive fuel is leaking through the air horn. Most likely cause is the float level is set too high or an internal leak. Check your float level, replace the needle and seat and weigh the float. Sometimes they get saturated with gas. This would be a starting point. Let us know how it works out.
