Default Removing passenger foot peg mounts

So I finally got passenger floorboards and went to install them today. Took the pegs off without a problem. The mount is giving me a problem. This is the alan wrench type screw in the middle of the mount. For the life of me it would not budge, though I was using a short alan. Any secrets to getting the sob off or it pure brute force and the right wrench?

Or a long socket allen on a ratchet. That is what I use. It makes this much easier.

Had the same issue except the bolt was behind the exhaust...wasn't going to take exhaust off...small allen wrench and 3 foot peice of metal conduit..but be gentle...don't want to scratch anything.
