I'm torn between the 06 carb'd model and the 07. I've found both brand new, but I can't decide on which one to get. I just sold the 06 Bob a week ago. I just can't make up my mind!

I didn't know they have 2006 carb'd Night Trains. I thought they stopped it in 2005.

Old school Vs New school, I chose FI. I like the fact that I can start and go, without setting the choke and warming it up at 5 am.
Whatever you perfer, but just like a car- I had carbed autos when FI came out, but now that years have gone by, I wouldn't buy one.

Both the 06 and 07 Train have the 200 rear tire. I believe all the 07's have oxygen sensors in the exhaust pipes. That will really limit the type of pipes you want to use. You won't be able to use those crazy type short pipes. (WWC, Martin Bros, Santee) I have an 06 FXSTS which is carburated and I love it. I have Santee FU pipes on it and it will actually flame out of the exhaust pipes when you get off the throttle. Looks cool at night! I also like the lower idle on the carb. When I start the bike I pull the choke and fire it up. As soon as it's running I push the choke back in and hold the throttle for a few seconds. Definitley old school.
