That is a beautiful bike, well thought out bro!

you should not listen to the silly things like "if you have to ask you can't afford it"
and the negative **** people say around here
decide if you can swing it and do what you want to do

If people ask an opinion on here it becomes public domain ....... views however expressed are peoples opinions what the recipient does is then up to them ......

Dam right. He asked an opinion for a reason.

Some do research like this to help make informed decisions.
If there are risks involved, they often would like to know about them in advance, rather than find out after spending the money.

As I said earlier: He might notice a slight loss in ride comfort.
(I had noticed a gain in ridability when swapping the other direction).
Key word is: "Might"
He might not notice anything, but the risk exists. (In my opinion).

would probably look alot like a blinged out cross bones....might even be a good place to source a springer front and would be easier to fit/adapt than aftermarket.

as the costs, if you sell the fat boy front end you could cover quite a bit. i know i've been lookin for one for a while for my train.

Good advice! But I'd wait a few weeks before selling his FB front end (just incase he wants to put it back on).

Opinions vary from person to person. My 96 BadBoy rides a lot better than my 05 Train, before or after lowering. While the Train front end is pretty nice with the valving and springs I used I prefer riding the ol 96 more.I rebuilt it with new springs, bushings and shock. It glides over everything but big holes in the road. They hurt ya no matter what you ride.
Stay away from DNA products.Get a springer with a shock.Like others said Paucho,HD and American all make for a good ride. Before y'all flame me about DNA stuff I've rode several different bikes with them and all I'll say is you get what you pay for. Again my opinion.G.
