Post Had My Fuel Tank Relined, With Red Kote,Question

Had My Fuel Tank Relined.
I Used Red Kote, But By The Drain Hole On The Left Rear Of The Tank The Red Kote Pooled A Little About A 1/8 of an inch, Then I Air Dryed It With A Fan For 48 Hours That Was Done On Wed. The Take Will Have Gas Put Back It In Monday That Will Be 5 Days Dry Time, And I Don't Smell The Red Kote Lineing Any More.
Question:>> Is Do You Think That The Pooling Will Be Ok Or Not, Remember It Had 5 Days Dry Time.

I Called Red Kote And Was Told That Is Will Feel Rubbery Or Spongy And That Is Fine.

What Do You Guys Think ?
Why Did Harley Put A Crap Liner In The Tank In The First Place ?

Thank You For AllYour Answers

I am trying to understand how you know it pooled up 1/8 inside the tank. Either way I have heard good things about red coat. I used Por 15 and it was fine within a few days. I have done two liners and I never got all that excess drained out. It is just impossible. I was fine both times. Just put a good inline filter on and keep an eye on the top of your gas level to see if any liner came off and it floating.

I had to reline my last bike's tank after I had it powder coated. Then again when the first PCing failed. So, I consider myself an EXPERT!!!!!!! (Try not to make a mess of it like I did).

No problem. Drain all you can, let dry, everything will be fine.

Well 1/8 Was Just A Good Guess

I Just Got Off The Phone With Harley Davidson MFG And Talked With John In The H-D Tech Department, He Told Me That The Tank Liner Was Put In There Just For Manufactureing Purposes For The Welding Prosses An The Liner Is Not Needed, So The Red Kote That I Put In,, I Will Take Out If I Have A Problem Down The Road, It's Not Needed
So That Is That
Thanks For Your Comeback
