Default brake light on all the time

Hey gang, I just bought a 1993 heritage classic that I'm starting to really enjoy, I do have one quirk already though. My break light is on all the time. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in advance

I would first check the front brake switch up in the switch housing. If the plunger is loose (it mounts in the switch housing) and sitting in the housing this will cause it to stay on all the time. I would pull the two brake lever/mc bolts and pull the assembly off the bars. You will see where the switch is or should be.

Did that work for you? Mine just started that yesterday and I'm looking for a place to start.

If anyone who is having this issue just put on new levers sometimes the issue can be the levers and not the brake switch. My buddy got some new Harley levers and this started immediately. I put the levers on and know the switch did not break. We ended up having to use some thick double stick tape on the lever where it contacts the brake light switch and that did the job. It has been fine ever since.
