Default 21" rim under a Heritage Classic fender

I have a stock set up on my 2001 Heritage Classic. Thanks to all the interesting threads here, i now love the look of the 21" wheel under the Heritage fender. My question is...Can my front end be lowered 1 or 2 inches and still fit the 21" wheel without any rubbing. Thanks

Not a problem...just do it!

I've got an 04 Heritage, running a 21 up front with a 2" lowering kit. No issues what so ever...no rubbing, no nada.

Check the photo...you can see it fits just fine...

I am running a stock Harley 21x2.15 off a nightrain with a 90-90 21 Avon WW.The 2.15 looks a little narrow under the FL front fender. It does not really bother me.But some don't like the look.(Pics to show)Admittedly the wider rim does look better. Some people say the narrow tire grabs the grooves in the road etc.I have not had these problems though. That depends a lot on the tire.Assuming you are not going to run WW(Heritage).Your options for tires are much better and a lot less expensive. In your case I would go 21x3.5 with a nice Avon or Metzler 120-70-21.WW tires in that size are hard to come by or very expensive for us Deluxe cats.

Are you talking about lowering the fork springs and are you concerned about the fender hitting the frame or triple? 21's look great though, that would be my first mod on the FL's.

The fender is attached to the lower forks so it (the fender)will remain at the same height above the tire.

Go or it.
