Default will 2007 fatboy wheels fit a 2008 on model?

Hi guys,
I've a 2008 105th anniversery fatboy,a friend is selling a pair of chromed wheels thats on his 2007 fatboy, will they fit straight onto the 2008 fatboy? would I need to change the bearings and wheel centres on the front wheel to make it work? from what I'm told the back will fit straight on but the front axle is different?????????

Not sure but I think the offset is different.

would think they should fit. However, I would also wait to hear the opinion from someone who is certain as I am not.

the rear will fit...the front however will not. the offset in the front of the 07 is different than all other years. thus the reason why a lot of 07 riders...(myself included) buy 08 and up lowers and change the front wheel to an 08 or later.

if you do a little research on 07 fatboy front wheel offset, you will find that hd had a front wheel offset issue that makes the front wheel and fenter sit offcenter in the front forks. it is an easily fixed problem but it makes 07 wheels nearly impossible to resell.

my .02...the rear is worth it...the front will not fit.

Default 09 on 07 fatboy

a 09 front wheel will not fit to 07 after a hr of being pisseed off its just a little off. it could be made to work thru spacers or shim washers but im not messing with front wheel too much mission aborted for me

yep, an 07 is a one year offset on the front and still had 3/4" axle on the rear....08-newer wheels wont "just bolt up", don't ask me how I found this out
