LaRosa Solo Seat - Does it ever break in?
Just got my LaRosa this week and took it on a nice 200 mile trip today. The seat itself is beautiful, looks awesome. Problem is, it feels like I'm sitting on a piece of plywood. Can't ride more than an hour without taking a break, my skinny *** can't take it. Does anyone with this seat have any experience with them softening over time? I hope it does, otherwise I'll have to switch it out for something a bit softer
Here's a picture of the model I got:

Well ****, guess I have my answer then. At least I'm not the only one. It looks great, but I just can't ride it for long trips.
Thanks for the info, I'll check them out.

Don't want to break your bubble ....I sent in a seat to MCC ... cost me a good penny... they repadded it .... no big change. Part of the problem is seat pan. You can always sell it .... go for comfort and looks.

That's what I'm afraid of. Are there any long-distance comfortable spring solo seats out there? I think the issue is that there's no back support for the spring seats, the way there is for standard solo seats. The 1925 Harley "tractor" seat seems to be the consensus for spring seat comfort, though I'm trying to keep the seat a bit smaller than that.

I think it has less to do with the springs and more to do with the design. From the look of the close edges on that seat MCC probably couldn't do much to help.
I've had a couple of low profile Lepera seats over the years on different bikes and same thing, form or function, take your pick.
