Saddlebags for my 03 Fatboy
I am looking for a set of bags for my 03 Fatboy. I have the gold key package, and have been watching for a set of bags on ebay that follow the same theme, but I don't think these bags will be big enough to put anything in. From what I have seen these bags part# 92015-03 are mainly for looks, not much for functionality. I am looking for a good hard bag that is lockable. I will try to post some pics of the bike tomorrow, but it is an 03 Fatboy with detachable backrest and V&H Longshots. Thanks for any ideas.

Oh man am I so glad that I dumped out of my old bags - the Fatboy bags that you can't fit anything in to!!!
I got the ones in the pict below on E-Bay for $325 in perfect shape, and they are about 80% of what a Heritage Classics are, so you can pack a lot of stuff.
Plus - I think they look killer!

Thanks for the post Finalcut. Do you remember who you bought your bags from on Ebay? The bags do look great. Are they lockable? Can you fit a helmet, jacket and rain gear in the bags all at the same time? Do you know what the capacity of the bags are? Sorry for all the questions, but I need some bags that I can actually use.

Ok!
These are Harley bags.
Right bag is part #91540-00. and the left bag is part#91541-00
As far as the size goes they are as tall and wide as Heritage Classic bags, and just 4" shorter.
A helemt won't clear the actual opening, but would fit if it could.... These bags are plenty big. In just one I have stuffed my Vanson leather, chaps, gloves, and some misc junk.
They don't lock - but I'm going to have mine modified at the leather shop so they will.
I don't know if Harley maked these any more, but these bags, and other almost identicle models ar all over E-Bay.
For your Fatboy there are two things to remember:
1- You need the pipes like I have that are lower than stock, so the bags will clear.
2- Some bags require a taillight relocation. The bags I have didn't, and I really liked that fact.
Here is an e-bay auction with some bags that may work. The seller has a low ratting but it's perfect....
