Midwest Cycle sells the Ultima line, motors and frames. And about 10 years ago there was a custom company called Ultra Custom Motorcycles that built bike for a few years, Could be either one, or something else?

Looking it up on google, apparently Ultra made their own frames, which is why they get the ULT designation.. what the LT stands for, I dont know, but sure. ill buy it for a dollar.

Pretty sure that's not a Harley frame. Gotta be aftermarket. That VIN doesn't show up on any of the Harley charts. Now the real question. Does the frame VIN match the title? For the bike to be legally titled, the title has to match the frame VIN, not the engine VIN.

I would NOT take the dealers word. Get the year and the VIN. Call the MOCO and they can tell you. I had some friends who built Harley replicas, using HD engines. They looked absolutely authentic and sold for a fraction of the cost without the wait back in the day. Everyone knew what it was...no lies involved.

That being said, everyone is not that way. Also, your insurance company can probably run a VIN for you. Good luck, hope it all works out.

Like the Sargent said it's not Ultra made the frame check the numbers on the engine and google them as well... Is the dealer selling this as a Harley Davidson or as a custom made bike?

have someone run the numbers on the motor, transmission (if there are numbers).. the frame obviously isn't HD, but if the motor and trans are, you can always call it a Custom.. like even those custom bike builders use HD twin cam's just because they're good motors, but they're not HD's. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it unless 1) it's stolen and you're gonna get fudged, or 2) it doesn't run or it fails while you're on the road. otherwise get your butt off the forums and get on the bike and ride
