Hello all , I have an 87 fxstc with 30,000 on it . Bought it used so I dont know if the motor has been rebuilt . Anyway I run 20w50 oil in it and down here in sw fl it is kickin hot right now . Went for a nice ride this weekend and after a while it seems the valves get pretty loud . Just had it in at my local shop and they said the valves were adjusted properly . Was wondering if I ran a straight 50 w valvoline or so if that would be cool . I mean it's not likely to snow any time soon .

I know some guys down here with high mileage shovels that run Maxum 4 straight weight Motorcycle 50w or 60w. I know Dennis Kirk carries this product, but don't know about anyone else.... Good news, a sea breeze has kicked in today and we will be only 99 and out of the 100's....
