Default Exhaust popping on deceleration - Exhaust leak or ECU tune to blame?

I recently installed a fatcat 2:1, along with a Power Vision, and I'm getting a gurgling sound, which also has some popping when decelerating.

What I'm unsure of is whether it's an exhuast leak or the ecu tune is still a little too lean?

I can't feel any leak from the header (yet to do a smoke test), but I'm not even sure if hat I'm hearing is normal for this exhaust?

Any help would be appreciated!

They all seem to be nice and snug. I did change the intake to an RSD Venturi.

Most likely it's your map you need to add some more fuel to the map. I have this same problem I thought it was my head pipe gaskets, I removed the exhaust and put new gaskets in - still does it. I did add some fuel to the map and it is much better but still does it at certain rpm's on deceleration. I have to mess around with it more.

It's the map!
I just installed my 2:1 fatcats on my bagger this weekend. I have a power commander III (because it's an 01 and will not except the V) and I called fuelmoto and they sent me the right map matching up my intake, pipes and engine. I downloaded it and wala! I rode about 300mi this weekend with no popping or issues.

Don't forget to tighten everything again after about 100mi. Good luck.

I added numbers to the zero column in the map, started with 25 and Down to about 15 now. No popping at all now when decelerating. I have PCIII

+1 the Fuel Moto guys are great. A decent map and the whole power curve is improved. Deceleration pop gone, just a rumble in the jungle sound.

Like others have already said...unless you have an air leak, it's probably your map. I've got a 2010 Heritage Softail that I installed V&H Bigshots, PCV with auto-tuner, and a Skullcap air intake. The original map I used was close but not perfect; as a result, I'd get a little popping on quick deceleration. Once you take the time to build your own map the problem gets solved. My Bigshots still gurgle when decelerating quickly, but almost never pop anymore.
