Looks like HD wants $400 for the light for your bike. I think I got mine for a discount. They wanted $525 for my bike but I got it for $325.

go with the hid kit, i have one and i love it, if your lookin for "white" get the 6k, tiny hint of blue is the 8k, dont go any hight than 8k because it gets more blue and then purple, and the police do not like em. ill post up pix after a bit here of mine so you can see what the 8k look like. and you can pick em up on ebay for pretty cheap.

im sure it was a matter of brightest for your buck, id love to see an led set up on the road but for 350-500 bucks mho is the hid kit is better because its a fraction of the cost. also i think the led lense is ugly as sin but thats just an opinion also

Go to a autoparts joint and you can buy singles. I just got a Sylvania silver star for 21bux, nice and bright white light!
Way better than the stocker!
The reason I didnt go with the ultra is I fear it would be too hot for our fixtures, and wiring connector...
The silver star is plenty bright!

Simple.
It costs a fraction of the LED headlights that are out there. It retains the stock bulb housing so it looks the same as OEM.
And daytime, the HID kit makes you seen. Versus the LED set-up that is not as easily seen.
So you get the best of both worlds. Better visibility at night over stock bulb. And your seen better in broad daylight by other motorists.....which is worth double its weight in gold!

High beams are more defined. Your low beams will illuminate the road nicely, the high beams will reach far but you lose more of the immediate area.
In an enclosed area like a garage, my high beams are almost like a concentrated horizontal line whereas the low beams are more of an areal lighting.
