Default 04 Heritage speedo Issue

I have a 04 Heritage, and the speedo is inop, I have cleaned the speed sensor. It didn't make a difference. It started to work about a week ago, for about 2miles, then went all the way to the right. I turned the ingition to accessory then the gauge 0'd out. Everything else works. Does the speedo need to be replaced?

I would replace the speed sensor first.

I will try that, could it be the ingintion switch also? That is what the Dealer told me to try.
