Default 2011 Fatboy Lo passenger footpeg support bolts

Ok, does anyone know if the bolts that screw into the frame for the passenger footpeg supports for the left and right side are the same?

I can't for the life of me see inside the hole on the right side, but the bolt won't thread at all, while it is threading on the left side.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same problem on my '13 Lo. I took the right footpeg support bolt out to install my detachable saddlebag support bracket. Now, I can't for the life of me get the bolt to thread back into the hole.

Am I missing something or did I busticate something?

F34R, how did you end up getting your bolt back in? Anyone have any tips?

Thanks!

This might help you some. Good luck. Right side goes into frame and left side has that Bracket #25 that mounts to the frame.

What exhaust do you have? If you got stock exhaust the bolt goes into the mount. If you have aftermarket exhaust they should of supplied a new bolt to mount back into the swing arm. You might have to clean the bolt, might have loctite clogged on the end of the bolt to feed back back into the tread?

Thanks for the tips.

I have the stock exhaust, just adding the small support bracket for the quick detach saddle bags. I'll try cleaning off the bolt and the threads again just to be sure... otherwise I guess it's off to the dealer for them to take a try....

Everything looks like it lines up, sucker just won't thread.

there might be thread lock stuck in the threads. i think if you can get a thread chaser, it is 3/8" 16. i replaced my torx bolts with cap screws from the hardware store. it's closer than driving to the dealership.
