Cool air cleaner insert

i have the fatboy lo i want to put the harley skull insert on the factory air cleaner do you have to remove the trim ring or will the skull cover fit over it. thanks alot kojax....

I'm pretty sure you just need to take the one that says 96" off and replace it with the new skull insert.

Those are pretty sticky, I used a light prying force and believe me they bend sooooo easy.
Might try a hair dryer to remove them.??

Hairdryer, WD-40 and a bit of patience, pulling evenly around the perimeter of the trim. The instructions say to remove it, but I never knew you could leave it on until stbob07 posted (but that could be for the Dyna teardrop cover).
