Default Anyone running floorboards on softail custom? Step in plz

So I was riding home yesterday and a big rig decided to cut into me while he merged into my lane and his front wheel literally cut my front peg right off! I felt my foot get bumped and I immediately pulled it up and when I looked down my peg was gone. I was so happy that I didn't get hurt that I started laughing and for some reason my mood turned into a great feeling of wellness lol.

Anyways I'm looking to replace my peg but then thought maybe a set of floorboards would be nice. I've not seen anyone with a FXSTC and floorboards and I'm not sure if it would look good on my bike or not.

If anyone here has a FXST or FXSTC with front boards please post up some pictures. Having a hell of a time finding any on google.

Here is a shot of my front peg!!

That my friend is about as close as one can get to skirting serious injury or worse. They say you never feel more alive than right before you think you are about to die. As for the floorboards on your bike? Why not, it's yours! Until I got my 70 Electra glide years ago I always rode bikes with foot pegs. Since then I have only had bikes that used floorboards and I could never imagine going back to pegs. I love floorboards!!!

Yeah I rode a few harleys with boards and I really loved it. So much more comfortable. But I'd have to give up my hole shot pegs which go with all the hole shot accessories I now have. (I'm not willing to spend $400+ for hole shot floorboards at this time. Though If I end up really liking boards on my bike I may invest that $400+ down the road.

WOW! As far as floorboards go I don't see why they wouldn't be great on your bike. I have a set on my sportster with ape hangers and love them. I also have them on my deluxe.

I put boards on my night train a while back and I love them! So much more comfortable than pegs. This is the best pic I could find with the floorboards on it.

I bet floorboards from a crossbones would fit.

Love my boards. Looks like you've been truncated. Glad you're OK.

I put floorboard on my old Deuce and loved them. Wouldn't be without boards again.

When putting floorboards on, do you have to change the shifter or brake pedal at all?
