Default Quick Transmission Oil Weight Question Please...

Hey fellas,
I finished my winter mods and I lost a little tranny oil when I changed the clutch cable. I looked in both my service manual and my owners manual and it doesn't tell me the oil weight for the transmission. Just browsing other threads, I see that it is probably 75w 90. I know that there is 20w 50 in the oil tank and primary right?

I am not going synthetic yet because I live in Germany and it is nearly impossible to dispose of the oil if I did it myself. Also, to go to the German Harley dealer or a car dealer, you have to buy the HD Oil and they charge literally $26.00 per quart. So, I am running regular HD oil in it from my last oil change. I will be purchasing Mobil 1 regular oil from on the military base at the normal oil price.

So, can someone tell me what weight regular Mobil oil to get for my tranny case please? I am thinking 75w 90. Also, please verify that I am right about the 20w 50 for the primary and oil tank, because I may as well pick up a quart for that too.

Thanks for your time.

BTW, pics to come soon.

Mobil Synthetic GL 75W-90,

Non-synthetics are typically 85-140 or 85-90 as I recall ( Several suppliers of those available.)

Oh...could you please tell me the allen wrench size to open the tranny dip stick? I borrowed one last time, but the guy moved and I didn't ask the size. I think that it is a 3/8. Thanks!

Wink oil + trany change

this is the trio of lubes that I have been using for the past 4 years in my SERK and then 06 RG, and now in the 2010 LoBoy. Guess you find what works for you and stick with it.

I run 75w 90 in my tranny... but technically you could run mobil 20w 50 v twin in all 3 holes..
