Default Belt slippage.... Normal?

Yall can see what im riding, am im 5'11" 205.... Should I be slipping the belt by attempting to spin the tire? This is from a seated position as in a rolling burnout.
Just curious if the belt is slack or if thats just whats gonna happen w/200 tire on softail.

Thanks

** i know its gonna happen, but please... the anti burnout, hotrod, wild riding folks; i dont want a lecture on how to ride or treat my bike.**

You mean slipping the clutch?

You can't "slip" a belt.

And if you like burn-outs then you want to keep your belt tighter than spec or you will break it.

if you're slipping a belt doing a burnout, you've got bigger problems then the anit-burn folks flaming you out..

belts aren't designed to slip. if they slip, you'll be ripping teeth off..

Its not a clutch slipping, where engine revs and bike sits still, its like a "thump" kinda sound. which i figured was the belt jumping/slipping teeth on the pulley.... am i completely off track? haha

If you've slipped the belt, you've ruined it unless it's so slack that it is barely catching on the teeth of the pulley. If you have lost any teeth on the belt, you better be looking for a replacement. If you don't do your own wrenching, be prepared for a big bill from the stealer...

You shouldn't do burnouts because every time you do a burnout, Honda kills a kitten. Plus you're also raising the surface temperature for the people in cars behind you, and their tires may gain extra traction in that warm spot.. and you're also causing your motorcycle to make the panties of nearby ladies to drop rather quickly. Yeah. that.

And yeah, like they said, if your belt is skipping over teeth on the pulley, then it's also like it's doing the same inside the primary, and if either of those are happening..that's bad juju.

Better check your belt and tighten it to 10lbs of pressure gives you 3/8" deflection, (or less.)

Its actually been a good while, since it did... whatever it is that it did, and i havent had any issues so far. So maybe i got lucky and didnt cause any harm. But if i did, might be good time and excuse for that chain drive Then no more threads bout slipping belts haha
