I am making the move from Beach Bars to Gangster Apes on my 2009 Deluxe.

I have ordered the 18" Carlini Gangster Apes....I am now second geussing myself....Thinking I should have ordered the 16's....

I am 6'3 with a 32" inseam... With lots of torso....

I am wanting to hear from Deluxe owners running the 18" Carlini Gangster Apes to see where the bars sit in relation to shoulder height...

I know everybody is different, and everybody has there bars at a different angel ect...


So what I am looking for is:

1. Your Height

2. Arm position in relation to shoulder height when you are riding.

I have the Flying Apes 16" on a Deluxe which are actually 17.5". They are maybe 1-2" over my shoulders. I am 6'. You should be fine with the 18" Gangster Apes. The Gangster Apes are true to size advertised, unlike the Flying Apes. You will love the Gangsters. SJ Ron

I'm 5'6" short (tall) and currently have 16" apes on my '06 Deluxe. I'm looking for some nasty 18" or 19" apes. Maybe RSD 19" King Apes. What do you all think?

 

...also take into consideration your seat and how you will be positioning the bars!

 

20's on a heritage. Not a deluxe , but close enough. 3"above shoulder with them kicked forward a bit and factory saddle . 5-6" above with bar industries solo seat. 6' tall btw.

 

go with the 18 im 6 ft and they are chin height
