Okay...well first off I am out of town working most of the winter and have to rely on phone calls and emailed pics while bike gets the love.
I was made aware of that the rear fender wasn't welded together perfect. Basically RWD took a 10" fender and split er down the middle to make a 9.25" (9.25" aftermarket tins impossible to find). The shop said there shouldn't be much to worry about, where it should be able to cheat the eye in respect to irregularities once mocked. I told them I can live with that if so.
Yesterday I got time to look over all the pics sent after strut holes drilled and noticed that the lip under the struts differ about 1/4". So I got on the phone and asked whats up with that...they said that they are aware of it and will try and play with it more. When I viewed the pic from behind the bike, it was clear that is was twisted to the left slightly...where if it was to be straightened out it should drop the fender slightly under the strut and come in line with the other side. Unless there is a lot more to it, it seems someone down there didn't have the keen on and should of worked without much play. If so, I am a little pissed but cant vent on them since my bike is naked atm. If they knew about why drill the holes if they intend to play with it again. Ya I believe I have a right to be pissed about it...either they think I don't care or they just messed up.
Anyways...I hope this works out or else may have to hide it with bags heh:P

I see what you are saying, on the right side there is a bit of fender showing below the strut, on the left, not so much...I feel your pain, Im having trouble getting my baddad fender overlay to line up properly too. It doesnt sit directly on top of the oem fender except right in the front so im gonna have to fill between the fenders with some spray foam otherwise cant have a passenger without cracking the fender overlay...such is life that nothing works like it does on tv lol. If it were easy, everyone would have one right?

Haha true...why I could live with it as long as we can fool the eye. Funny comment they said, 'well you only really look at one side anyways'...meh 'ya but it will drive me nutz'. WTF comment is that anyways from them haha. Damn it's hard to keep a smile on for them over this....but I must or else I don't want spit in my hamburger if I go off on them.

This is a professional shop. You should expect professional results. I am sure they are charging you as such. They need to get it right, bottom line.I would not settle for any thing less. That would bother me as well. I am anal like that. "You only look at one side at a time" WTF is that ? The comment should have been we will work with it till we get it right.
Its work in progress. They are not finished yet. You still have time to emphasize that it looks wrong to you and that while its still where it's at NOW, you hope they can get it where it needs to be before you come to pick it up.

I dunno it looks fine to me. Can't let small stuff drive you nuts. Plenty of things on a new $20,000 bike doesn't line up or even up & HDs ain't usually totally symmetrical from side to side the way cars are.--usta drive me crazy that the seat screw on my 35th Anniversary SuperGlide wasn't dead center between the stripes. Exact same thing with my friends same bike. In fact;just this week I saw the first one ever that DID line up. That stuff'll drive you crazy if you let it.
Tough to even tell ESP. That one pic ha a sissy bar and the other doesnt
K swapped pics w/ both having sissy now.
