Default new Softail- the "Blackline"

Man was this thing disappointing. Harley drops the 2 Softails we have trouble selling (the Rocker and Cross Bones) only to replace them with the Blackline. FX Softail frame, but with only a 140 rear tire and not really any chrome. Even the spoke wheels are black (ala XL1200N Nightster). It's like the Nightster, Street Bob and Night Train had a threesome and this is what came out of it.

Someone will like it, but I doubt enough will be sold that it stays in production for more than a year or two.

There will probably be photos of it on HD's site by tomorrow.

Obviously they are thinking since the iron and nightster are good sellers that this will follow suit. We'll see. Thanks for the info.

140 rear tire, you serious?

Must be a large demand for wide asses in the aftermarket dept. I know it`s not everyone`s preference, but many pay big bucks for a larger ***. I am a fan of chrome, but the Night Train was one of my favourites. They should have came out with the Springer Train

the skinny rear is back in style.I think 160 or so would be a better choice.

I told the factory rep more than once over the years that I would volunteer my services to help show these college boys what bikers want. Nowadays, he tries to avoid me when he comes in. Especially when HD is up to no good with some of these new models.

It ain't rocket science.
