Thanks for all the responses guys. And I will definitely check out the thread provided. To recap: Mine only fogs up. I don't really get what I would call collected moisture in the sense that tapping a hole to drain fluids is necessary. Also, it never fogs up so bad that I can't read it so it is not killing the functionality of my speedo. Finally, I just wanted to be able to clean the glass to remove the haze that has been left behind over time and not looking to SEAL the speedo completely.

If I do come up with something, I will post an update.

Thanks again.

I did mine in red...

I still get fog in the early morning, but goes away after some sunlight and never affects my vision into the gauge.

u dont want to seal the speedo or silicone it , or anyother means of sealent

this is what causes the glass to fog up
you want it to breath
this allows the air to be the same inside the speedo as outside

to open it up or clean it follow this guys video

Often wondered whether you could drill a very small hole in the glass so when the suns shining the moisture would evaporate out then cover the hole with a small piece of see through selotape, a lot of people seem to get this problem.

Thanks for the video link! That's exactly how I removed the crimp ring from the old corvette vacuum motors. Good to know it will also work here.

I'll try to give this a go this weekend and post my results with pics. My fogged glass is a real eyesore on sunny days.

Lots of stuff on here about dissembling the speedo (or tach), which is great. I am looking for a replacement lens for my tach, but cannot seem to find one anywhere. Any suggestions? I was told that dealer only sells complete tachs or replacement faces, but not replacement lens. argh!

THANKS!
