I have a 2000 deuce and decided that it is time to relocate the front turn signals down to the forks. Sounds easy enough. Bought the mounts months ago. My question is regarding the wiring. My wires go through my handlebars. Question is: Do the wires coming out the handlebars to my lights go directly to the harness plug in front of tank or are they tied into the turn signal switch? I am thinking I can just cut them at the harness pull them through the bars, Shorten and resolder. Just wanted to make sure before proceeding to hacking. Any help would be appreciated. I did some searching of posts but didn"'t see anything to answer my question. Thanks in advance.

 

You can. They are sepearate and go to a seperate plug under the tank. You can clip the three wires, run them out through your bars and shorten and re-connect down by the headlight.
