Default La Rossa solo spring seat on my Heritage

Mounted this thing up the other night. Easy installation, and it seems to fit the look of the bike, IMO. I used the Harley pan with no mods. It's comfortable (but not like a larger seat), and the extra suspension is kind of nice. Fortunately, I don't weigh alot, so the springs are adequate:

Sorry for the crappy cell shots...

Hey that looks like the frame pan that comes on the Xbones? what did you use for the bolt posts under the pan? I've been wondering if it would all fit together for me, I'm wanting to run a simalar seat with torsion springs like yours on my Xbone

Yep, it's a crossbones pan. For the rear studs, I drilled into the crossmember behind the battery, and tapped the holes for the studs. Threaded the studs (that I made myself from 5/16 bolts) into the frame, and presto. The seat is bolted onto the backbone frame behind the tank. Pretty easy, it took about a half hour to do.

Wow. What's the international symbol for EYES BUGGING OUT?

you could put a fringed throw pillow on that and it would kill.

it is a good thing you do not weight much, there are reports of Larosa front mount bracket snapping off at speeds, of course they will always blame the 'user', but then again, that is typical Larosa .
On another note, the color is good and matches the bike. but don't you find that 'bates' style seats do not give you any support on acceleration ? I prefer deep dish style.

To be honest, I have not got too many miles on it yet--so my mind is not made up. The bates flat style seems most noticeable when taking off, but once at cruising altitude it seems to level off, and is level enought that I don't slide off. That said, I haven't ridden it enough to find the drawbacks yet.

I really like the look of it, though, so I am hoping the comfort part is at least adequate! I am going to try to post up some pics of it with my real camera tomorrow.

I got to be honest there. It's just not doing for me. It looks a bit like a home made booster seat. That's just me though. If all bikes looked the same it would be a boring world out there.

I've got to wonder if you've bottomed out with the springs turned forwards like that too? Is that the only way you could get the torsion ones in there.

Love the brown paint. You don't see it much and it really looks good.
