Default Need help finding rubber holder grommit thingy

on my 2004 FLSTCI it has detachable bags (see pic ill attach). 2 posts slide through the bag, and a rubber holder grommit thingy fits onto the posts to stop the bag from coming off the posts.

Well, i need a new robber holder grommit thingy lol

I tried searching, but all i am coming up with is the full mounting kits.

Thanks all

I forget what the name turned out to be, and the PN, but there was a thread about them a month or so back.
Your not the first one who's 'misplaced' one.
So do a search and you should be able to find it.
Then you'll have a real name and PN to get a new one.

oh, hehe. Nope this doesnt look like it. Unless im missing something ..

In this guide, you hold the bag upto the mount and fasten it with screws.

Mine slides onto the 2 studs (i guess where they are using screws) and a long maybe 6" rubber piece goes inside the bag, and grabs onto both of the studs ... preventing the bag from sliding off.

To remove the bag on my bike, you would remove this 6" rubber thing by hand, and then pull bag off of the 2 studs

Man i have done a zillion google searches for different related terms just to see if i can SEE the part and post a pic of it here.

I cant find anything that even looks like it! I wonder if it might not be a stock part? Maybe prev owner removed stock bracket, and put these rubber ones on.

It would be very simple to just make my own thing to hold bag in place, but would much rather have stock holder in place.

oh my god this is terrible hehe, i am no artist!!

I have sketched the item very roughly ... this is what it looks like from the side.

With the bag open, you would pop one end of this rubber brace onto one stud, then the other end obviously goes on the other stud. It holds the bag on.

Hope this helps someone
