Default SEST Tuner Maps for 2012 Softail vs Dyno Tune

Question:

For Stage 1 Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner and Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered exhaust, is there a standard SEST download that be used as a baseline instead of dyno tune?

I ask because I wonder if there is a canned map/download for this very common Stage 1 upgrade that can be done.

If I need to dyno later to optimize after, I'll do it. Thoughts?

A dyno tune will always be better than a canned map, providing that your tuner is competent.
Even engines that were built identically have minor variations so a dyno tune gets feedback in real time and the tuner can make immediate adjustments. And the tune the MOCO ships them with is less than ideal. They leave some power on the table which a dynotune can get for you.
So if you want to get the most out of your bike, and it's in your budget, get it dynotuned.

Yes the SE Pro Tuner has standard Stage 1, 2 ,3 calibrations in it as well as "Smart Tune".

IMO for most of us with the ability to "Smart Tune" or on my tuner (Power Vision) to Data Log and then tune based on real life data collected while riding is taking the need to dyno out of tuning most bikes especially a stage 1-3 bike.

The Stage 1 cal from the SE Tuner is a EPA Compliant Tune and is still lean but if you have the SE Pro Tuner you can adjust it to a better AF Ratio.

Also the TTS, Power Vision are both able to self tune.

Do some reading in the ECM / Tuner section for a lot more info on self tuning
