Default Stripping covers off your forks...

Rather than simply replacing them? Not sure I really like them.
Could just be a bug that I need to get over
But if you've taken them off, can you post pics plz?

I prefer stripping clothes off women!

Don't have pictures, but would look similar to any Softail with FX front end.

I'm tempted to try, just to see what the underneath looks like.
Don't know if the covers were meant to hide a less then quality finish.

Maybe I'm on the wrong boat here, but what do you mean by fork "covers?"

Ditto on both accounts!!!

Underneath the covers are just seals, no rubber boots. So, if you did, I'd see if the FX rubber boot would fit, otherwise you're probably gonna have problems with moisture (aka rain).

Hard to tell what the triple trees look like with the covers on. Wondering if HD uses covers to hide eye sore/ not fit for show like quality. Or maybe they did use high quality finish triple trees typically found on other models, but went and covered them anyway?

At first I thought you were talking about removing the cowbells. Now it sounds like you want to remove the nacelle? On either account, there's nothing "ugly" behind them. Triple trees are painted gloss black and forks are polished steel.

If you remove the nacelle, you are going to have some lonely bolt holes. That and the front brake line jiggling around.

I do not know what fork dust boots would work on the Fatboy lowers once you took the tins/cans off.
