And I run 16s 1.5" original apes with stock seat and they work for me. I'm 5'-7"

 

Haha...gee thanks, Eric! I guess I'm more like 5'5"!! Haha... Before committing, I'll be going back to Carlini again on Monday and get another feel, but this time I'm gonna give the gangsters and originals a try. I'll keep you posted!

I actually went with the 16's. I did some more research on my states laws and found out I just cant have them 6 inches higher then my shoulders so these fit me just fine now. LOL goin home to do some mock ups and i wont be installing them until next weekend because Im poor right now and can afford the cables yet lol

 

Congrats. You'll definitely like them! Gave me much more room. I went with 18" 1.25 gangster and fit me perfectly. I standing about 6'5"

 

I think I might be moving up to 18's now :/ I got home and they were a little ...well... Not as I expected..

Question! If I lower my bike1-2 inches and get a new seat will it make my bars look taller? Lol I know what the answer is but lookin for someone who had the same idea

 

I'm 6'4" and used the 16" Carlini Gangster Apes on Stock Risers. The fit is perfect for me!!!!.........They do run a bit taller as everyone has said!!!!!......I think I measured them at 17.5"............Good luck with your project!!!!!

 

I called Carlini yesterday and they confirmed that the ONLY Apes that run taller than as advertised on their site are the 'Flyin Apes'.

 

When I talked to the rep there he said it depends on where you measure the bar from. if you measure from the very bottom of the bar to the very top of the bars theyre 17.5 but if u measure from the top of the bottom bar to the very top theyre 16. confusing, I know lol.
