Default Happy with your Slim?

Sold my FLHX and looking for something a little smaller for mostly around town.
Was looking at really downsizing to a 48 sporty, but started looking at the softail slim.

Anyone have feed back on theirs?

I own both a Slim and a Sporty ('06 custom, stage 1), two different rides and love them both. Traded an '07 FXDL this past March for the Slim and have no regrets. Smooth. Easy to handle. Lots of power. Just kick back and ride. Nice not only around town but also on the longer hauls. The balance and weight distribution makes it just as easy (and sometimes think easier) to handle as the Sporty. Love the Sporty, too. Zips around town like a little bullet. A little more shake on the long hauls. Bit more laid back on the Slim and I take the corners with a little less lean on the Slim. As I said, two different bikes, two different rides. It is your call. Feel fortunate that I have room in my garage for both.

I've owned dressors, sporty's, Dyna's, Vmax, Ducati, Triumph's, even a Vrod, I now have a slim, It's not the fastest I've owned. It is the most comfortable and is very bitchen to look at, Changed the bars to RSD along with other mods, I'll probably keep this for a while.

Wow, I love the look with the forward control. How much did those set you back.

I love my Slim, my favorite Harley I've owned by far. Had it a couple months and it is still all stock, just love it the way it is.

I love my Slim... I traded in a XL1200X that I also loved for it, and I have zero regrets. I am going to Stage 1 it, and maybe mount smaller mirrors under the bars, but beyond that, I'm not going to touch it.

I bought a new '17 Slim S OGD and added some stuff but it's still sitting at the dealership for the duration of winter until I take possession in March. Can't wait....
