Default Cable Length for 14" Apes?

Bike- '06 NightTrain
What- Need cable length for 14" Evil Apes

I am finally pulling the trigger on swapping out my drag bars for 14" Evil Apes.

I called magnum shielding to order my cables thinking they would know what length I should get....they don't.

Does anyone know the +over stock length needed to swap out stock drag bars on a 2006 Night Train for 14" Carlini Evil Apes.

If not, anyone have any suggestions to help me figure this one out.

Thanks,

Scott

Did you call Carlini? LA Choppers sells kits - you can also try asking them what lengths their cables are.

Check their website, you can enter ur model of bike and see what stock is, then figure out your + range. You got to factor your stock riser height though over a 1-1/2 or 2" riser, if I remember right.

Compare it to this: I will take 2" off my cables for 16" bars, and I got the stock short 1.5" or 2" riser, so for 14" apes on train with 1.5"or 2" riser, you should be close to this:

Clutch: 68-11/16"
Brake: 50"
Throttle & Idle: 37.5"

Wire extensions will be 12" by default, just cut and solder and be done with it.

I bought +12's for my '08 train with Wild 1 14 chubby's. A little too long. Could have easily gotten by with +10's. I used Magnum Sheilding as well.

Doing the math I was going go ahead and order the +10's. I think I am going be patient and just swap the bars out and then measure it all out. Thats good info though, thanks. BTW, do you still have the NT...and pics?
