Default Removing reflectors

Anyone know something that will release the stick on 3m tape so i can remove these darn reflectors from my bones without harming paint!

Don't remove the reflectors! They look custom cause no one runs them!

Sit the bike in the sun for 30 min or so then use fishing line or dental floss to cut the tape under them. Then I found rubbing alcohol worked great, but GooGone works very well too. When it's warm it will come off much easier.

I used a Hair dryer to warm them up and pealed/pulled off slowly. Left no trace of the tape on my matte paint. Be careful not to catch the far edge of it when its bending, you could scratch the paint if the angle to steep.

Heat and slow peeling. It has been the best for me. We went on a long ride Memorial day and a freind of mine looked at me at our first stop and said hey why dont you have reflectors on your forks are they not putting them on the new bikes. I said no that is the only free mod to a Harley I know of is reflector removal. I am supprised they have not figured out a way to charge us for this yet. Anyways he said man the front looks clean now. I said lets take yours off. It was about 95 degrees here that day so his came off clean right there in the parking lot and went in the trash. So sit it in the sun or take a blow dryer and run on them for a while then twist at the center until it starts to slightly move, then grab at one corner and try to slowly start peeling. Once a peice starts to pull loose stick your finger under the 3m tape and slowly peel. If it starts to tear let it relax back a little but without letting it come back in contact with the fork and slowly start to peel again. The trick is HEAT and HEAT and do not let it tear if possible. The HEAT is the ticket though.

Fishing line & paint thinner took me 5 minutes on a 33 degree day.

Most everyone makes way too big of a deal out of removing the reflectors. Just pull them off with your fingers and wipe off the residue with WD40. A 10 minute job for all four. While you are at it, might as well pull the the stickers off the frame too.

Wouldn't mind as much if Harley could have put them on STRAIGHT from the factory
