I just bought an 08 this past weekend. I had a 96 Bad Boy springer before and loved it so the Crossbones was a natural for me. I've put 150 miles on it in the last couple of days and I love it so far. There is a pretty killer deal ($10,900) on one on my local (St. Louis) craigslist if you are in the market.

I like mine. Like most people, I've changed out the rear fender.

The skull and crossbones looks kind of dorky. It's not a sticker, it's under the clear coat, so if you want it off you have to paint or change the tank out. I just covered it up with an Obey sticker. It's surprisingly difficult to find decent stickers that are the right size/shape and aren't crappy quality that won't fade or peel.

And lose the hokey skull on the oil tank.
Aww the hokey skull.......So glad I have a 08 Crossbones. No hokey skull.....

08 here and my first. Nothing really to compare it too. I LOVE IT! I was just sucked in like it was speaking to me or something...minor cosmetic changes. Previous owner changed the seat, dont know what it is but it is fat and very low 2 up seat and looks great. I don't regret the purchase one bit and can sit in the garage and get mesmorized just staring at her( named her FLO ) trying to figure out what to change next! Very stable and plenty of power with me and my 2nd wife...bike being the first OF COURSE. If i anything bad to say it would be that i kinda dont like the 16 on the front...but it wont be 16 for long. Like Milty said ( BTW has one sick bones ) it will break your wallet!

I love mine! Best bike I've ever owned by far. But you wanted the bad things. Well... the brakes SUCK! Especially the front single piston Springer brake. It's worthless! I upgraded mine. I didn't like the mini apes, or the stock seat and I changed those too. Other than that, a little things here and there. I won't sell this bike ever.

2011 with over 14,000 miles. No issues!

As far as the rake in the front end, the guys at Harley said it's the same frame dimensions as the Fat Boy, including the head angle. According to them, it's the same degree of rake, but the Crossbones looks steeper because of the way the fork is designed. In fact, you could replace the Springer fork with the telescopic fork of the Fat Boy and be good to go. BUT, why would anyone ever do that??

Ha! I was thinking good things about the front brake but the back brake squeals like a pig!

Just saw a Bones in Sweden when I was on vacation in Stockholm, used $60,000! You guys get hosed! Lots of bike on the road up there though.
