Oil is blowing out of the filler? Or someplace else?

Check out this post-

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/oil-a...oil-level.html

The following is straight from the HD manual, and it is the same for the Twin Cams and the Sportster Evo motors-

"The correct oil level should register midway between the FULL and ADD marks on the dipstick.

If oil level is at or below the ADD mark, add only enough oil to bring the level to the middle of the two marks on the dipstick."

Another thing that can make oil blow out the air filter is riding too slow in too low a gear. Lugging the motor to get that 'potato-potato' sound.

Keep the revs up on your motor and it'll help with that blowing oil problem.

Lack of frequent use also causes oil to come out of the air cleaner but it usually clears up.
