Thumbs up detachable backrest

Hi I'm just try to start the "backrest" modification, grinding the originalHD. What tools did you use to grind it down, is the material strong enough?
I got a denny grey seat and HD foot rest and have short V&H this all looks great.
are you in FL? i'm down here in Ft Myers area. Do you know a shop that can do the grinding?

Man it has me having second thoughts about my Dyna.

To me, it appears to be some sort of variant of the Bassani Sweepers,
perhaps with custom end caps...

Stopped by the dealer to drop off parts. They started to put the fenders on.
