Just wondering what the best combo would be to make mid 90 in hp and 100 tq out of my tc88b got 50,000 miles dont no if I should do head work and cams first then when the wife lets me spend a little more money go big bore or should I go big bore first. Im pretty new to this so any input would help thanx

Heads and cams will get you close.. you could always take it up to a 95" or 98". FuelMoto 98" kit, with the Woods TW-555's and the Level B headwork reportedly gets 100hp/106tq.. but now you're looking at over $2k, or close to that.

As was said, cams and head work will get you close. Closer than big bore will and for about the same money. Had mine done at 18k, almost 50k now and still love the setup. Some info on what I'm runnin is in my sig. Good luck, and keep us posted!

95CI kit on mine with SE 204 cams (set 4*) and Big Sucker with tru-dual Samson 33" longtails and dynojet III USB (I do not know if the heads were re-worked, but the numbers would seem as though they were). I'm making 92HP (at approx 5200 rpm) and 103 lb/ft torque (at approx 3000 RPM). I run cool and is dependable as all get out. Runs like a champ for a heavy bike like mine.

Since I bought my bike with the engine work already done, I had to take it as-is. If I were doing it all from scratch, I would save and do it all at once (heads, cam, big-bore) to make sure it all works together as a system. In the long run, doing all of it at once is cheaper than doing and re-doing your mods.

Have U looked through the dyno thread.
Its show sheets and numbers plus what they did of other members after a build.

should help U figure out what U want/need to do.

I took the cheap way out, 98" & andrews 37g. Hugh diffrence but I ran hot,& had hard hot starts, 2 months later I did the heads. Hugh diffrence but, I wish I would have done it all at once, tearing your motor down that much sucks. Do it once & be done, just don't tell the ol' lady.... Or do what I did, open up your motor for"maintenance" and tell her it's messed up and you need these parts to keep it running.
