My softail bottoms out on me because i am a big fat cu*t.
I was looking at these spring kits pn 54583-84.
Has anyone tried them or have a copy of the instructions as i couldn't find much info on them at all.

The first thing to try is to adjust the preload on the shock..that may be all it needs. If the bike still has the factory shocks it is highly unlikely that they are still in good shape...those shocks had remote gas canisters and once the gas leaks out they don't work well. Shocks for that bike are hard to find...most shock company's quit making them. 84-88 shocks had a different length body...89-99 shocks will bolt on but hit the trans mounting plate when riding. Shockgun shocks will not fit without cutting the frame. I would keep a search on ebay for some 84-88 progressives...which they no longer make. Small body shocks work on 84-99, but the only ones that are any good are made by Works Performance...and they are really proud of them.
Thanks had a look and really can't justify the prices.
Might take them off and have a look or find out what these springs are supposed to do and if they'll help me.
Are the originals nitrogen filled.
And any idea of the pressure they need to be.
