I've got 10"s on mine with 4" straight risers, puts my hands at 14". I had 4" risers with a 2" pull back, but they hit my console when parked full turn.

I just went from 16" ape to a Wild1 chubby 12,5" ape and I am happy with the change. The 16" was just too tall for me.

Click the link at the bottom and you can how my arms are set with Wild1 10" mini's on stock 1" risers on a 2000 Heritage. They are pushed forward for comfort, I'm in a Corbin wide solo and I am 5'11". Very comfortable.

I'm trying to find 8" z-bars if anyone knows of a good brand. I really like the look of Road 6 Customs but they don't have a reliable chroming source right now and have to upcharge $150 extra per set to get them chromed.

Check out RSD, I believe the shortstacks are 8", very similar to the Road 6.

14" Wild 1's w/ 1.5 risers
The 14" are perfect for me and im 6.0ft
It all depends on the bike and seat. Hold a broom horizontaly where you think you would like your grips and height to be, and have a friend do some measurements. just remember you have to have risers as well.
