Great write up and pictures knucky. This has been very helpful to me but not for new tank badges but because I have seriously been thinking about popping mine off and leaving the bike without. I don't know why, maybe it's the color of your bike but I am not to sure your bike looks better with badges than without. Mine is the black and white and now I'm really wondering what mine would look like without. There are also many to choose from and many that I think would look much better than the stock badges. Where are the best places to go to look at badges? This may be a fat chance but I prefer American made. Your bike looks very good knucky.

You forgot to do a write up on how to install a big yellow **** on the top of the tank also. That must your " Oh Shoot " handle. Now how do I install that???

Looks clean! Good job.

Knucky,
I want to thank you for such a great step by step tutorial with excellent photos! I just purchased the same tank badge for my black and white 2011 FLSTN. I was not even sure that the badge would fit but thought it looked great, so I bought it and then started searching to see if others had used it on a Deluxe and any tips I could find for placement. Your write up was the jackpot for me! Others have posted great photos as well in reply to your initial post. GinsengSullivan showed exactly what it would look like on my black and white. Outstanding! Did you guys pretty much just level it with the bottom of the tank?

Alain, thanks for the comment. I recently picked up a Rocker and had thoughts of changing the emblems until I read your comment. And then I look at your bike picks. I had no idea. You just saved me a bunch of headaches. BTW, you Rocker is awesome.
