Sound System for my 2006 Heritage Softail
Is anyone familiar with the Boss MC420B speakers with bluetooth amp set? The 4 speaker set is 1000 watt, but not sure whether 4 or 2 speakers would fit better. Has anyone heard them while driving at highway speeds? Also, I am wanting the chrome set, but am wondering how weatherproof they are. Would appreciate any input.

I would like to suggest that you take a look at our handlebar/highway bar mounted motorcycle speaker systems. We just had an article in March Easyriders magazine and were voted best bar mount sound system! We have the best in class sound and use name brand, quality components. Then we back it all with a 5-year warranty. The customer reviews are also good to read over.... Whatever you do decide, please know that you are not getting a 1000 watt system from Boss. Those systems are 30-50 watts at most... We take them in a lot as trade in because folks are just so unhappy with them, especially at speeds above 60mph. Our systems use true watt ratings and are designed for highway use... Let me know if I can answer any questions!

Check out Socal cycle sound systems - very nice systems & affordable, I have the rockhoodz from reckless and its a nice system, the radio part of it is not the best but as far as linking up with Smart phone - pandora or what ever its a nice set up!
The one guy who rides with us got a system from socal & its a clean, clear system - the issue with fairing mount systems is they are good up to a certain speed then wind buffeting kicks in & distorts the sound, I went with an LRS (shield) & HD fork mount winddeflectors & I tell ya what that made a Huuugggee difference, buffeting is pretty much gone & the Rockhoodz stereo is clear & audible at 70+ mph. I would tell anyone wanting a fairing mount sound system to think about trying to diminish the buffeting for a better experience!
Steel horse - those are some nice systems you have as well.
