Default My Slim Build/Pic Thread

Figured I would just make a thread for my build and pics. Started with a bone stock 2012 Slim.

First thing I modified were the turn signals. I have never liked turn signals under the bars, so I moved them next to the headlight on the trim strips.

This is the headlight/upper fork cover. Drilled a hole for the hollow wiring bolts to clear.

Little 1/4" plugs for the originals wiring holes.

These are the bell tip mufflers I decided to try out. Love the look and the sound.

This is a bracket I had to fab up to allow the upper muffler to mount to the factory bracket.

This is after I put on the split collar lowering kit. Lowered the bike 1 1/2". Ride is a little stiffer, but that was expected. Looks way better than factory though.

I will post new pics and info here as I go. Figured I would make one thread for my bike instead of a new one for every thing I do to it.

I really like those slims. Looking good. I'm curious to see the hard swing arm bag finished.

Thanks man. I already have the parts to black out the front end. Should be doing that soon. I'm going to throw on a set of whitewalls and do some pin striping on the tins. Probably switch out the tank badges for something a little more vintage. I am going to get the seats reupholstered with white tuck and roll in the center. I may change the front fender out eventually with one that has a little more roundover to it, but bob it like the factory fender. I eventually want to get a set of gloss black cases and covers for the motor and start switching out factory nuts/bolts to chrome.

Should be getting the scooter back tomorrow(pics as soon as I get it back). I got the white walls put on and the gloss black forks put on. I pulled off the tank badges and plan on getting some lettering done at some point on the tank. I tried some 47-50 style badges, but could not get them to bend enough in the right spots.

Nice truck. Have fun making that Slim yours, Man.

If you wanna paint it Seafoam green like the hauler, I'd love to see that.
