Dark Lo build thread!!!!
Allright, so I have been doing a ton of mods to my bike. Just wanted to share with you guys some of the stuff and get more ideas from the rest of you guys. These things are a money pit, but they are a ton fun to ride and make them your own. Heres a timeline of pics from the day I brought it home to the way it sits right now. At the present time its sitting at the shop waiting for the tins to get painted.
List of mods:
Fuelmoto stage 1 A/C
V&H short shot staggered (soon changing to Bassani Road Rage 2>1)
Powervision tuner
Heartland EZ 200 kit with heartlander fender, black wrinkle struts.
Russ Wernimont front fender
Platinum bleed and feedair ride
DNA Mammoth spokes 18x5.5 rear, 21x3.5 front
Metzler rubber
Carlini Ganster 1.5, 14 inch apes
Barnett cables
HD freight train nacelle with daymaker LED headlamp
RSD grips and levers
Black wrinkle powdercoated engine components
Future mods:
HD turn signal mirrors
Batistinis or Carl Brouhard foot controls and floorboards
Here it is stock:
After pipes and air cleaner (have since changed RSD a/c out):
After apes and powdercoating:
At the shop getting mocked up and ready for paint:
Im contemplating doing a red pinstripe on the wheels and fenders, let me know what you guys think. Well im enjoying this and all the info I have gathered in this forum. I will update as soon as I get it back. BTW I have a bunch of stuff for sale in the softail parts section, if your interested.

Sweet front tire. A couple of suggestions: have you considered relocating the turn signals from the bars to the front fork area. There are some sweet write-ups on it and I am working on the same thing. This will clean up the bars a little bit and make it look less busy or clunky.
Bike is looking good. I love the denim paint and am on the fence about the silver but it looks custom and interesting. You should post this in the "calling all fatboy lo owners" thread. I think there are over a million views and you can add to the fun. Lots of great ideas but make sure you bring your wallet

Thanks for the compliments. The bike is staying black denim all through out, its just mocked up before they take the tins to paint. Yeah Im taking the turn signals off, putiing HD turn signal mirrors, I will be putting the alloy art turn signals which mount on the side of the nacelle for a cleaner look.

Good call on the alloy art signals. They're a little pricey but clean up the front end a lot and well worth it. Just my $.02, and I am biased of course.....
